Idealism together with Professionalism!
Many people in the world suffer because of poverty and war. They do not have access to health and education. They suffer from diseases such as HIV/Aids, malaria, pneumonia and diarrhoea. These diseases with their enormous social and economic impact, threaten not only those directly affected, but in the end all of us in a world in which epidemics such as HIV/Aids do not respect national borders.
To improve the health situation in countries with "limited resources", not only an idealistic attitude but also professional training and continuing education are needed for all those who want to tackle the existing problems.
The Forum für Internationale Gesundheit/ Forum for International Health (foring), founded in Germany in 2005, has undertaken the task of facilitating access to information regarding professional training and further education through information sharing. People who are concerned by the problems described above are brought into contact with one another. Members can then exchange their experiences in the different areas of international health and help each other with vocational matters.
foring tries to remain politically neutral and has no financial interests.
How the Forum works
Experience exchange:
Members give details of practical and research experience to enable dissemination to other members.
Information exchange:
In cooperation with various institutes and organisations in the field of international health, information about courses, seminars, job- and training opportunities are directly passed on to members. Monthly newsletters keep our members up to date.
