We always welcome new members!
Conditions of membership
For data protection purposes only registered members of the forum can access the database providing information about other members, their activities and experiences in the area of medical development cooperation.
Anyone who is interested in international health (old or young, doctors, midwives, lawyers, nurses, medical students, psychologists, social workers, economists, etc.) and wishes to contribute his or her experiences in this area to our database, so as to pass this information on to other members, can become a member of foring. Those who do not (yet) have experience to share can register with our mailing list. Membership is free. It is possible to terminate foring membership at any time by leaving the mailing list. All members are asked to update their details at least once annually. If you do not reply to our request for updated details, which is made in January each year or do not let us know that your details remain unchanged, you will be automatically removed from the membership list - since only an up to date database will work well.
Database
All members are asked to contribute their experience under one of a variety of headings: electives/other attachments; research; courses; profession or other experiences (specifying year, county and place). For the purposes of this forum only experience in the area of international health - not your entire CV - are requested. E.g. an elective attachment in Switzerland would not be relevant but an attachment in a country with limited resources or an attachment at a tropical institute in Europe. Please mention membership of organisations or other institutions only if it is you are an actively participating member, e.g., the chair of a forum. Please make a contribution, even if your experience has so far been limited to a single course or attachment - every experience counts!
